control

Some things I have little control over:  the weather, the bird’s song, results from a thyroid biopsy.

Something I do have sway over are the books on the “currently reading” section of our bookshelf:

Field Guide to Insects of North America – Eric Eaton & Ken Kaufman

Living with Chickens – Jay Rossier

Storey’s Guide to Raising Chickens

Chickens in Your Backyard – Rick & Gail Luttmann

Beyond the Sky and the Earth, A Journey into Bhuton – Jamie Zeppa

A Slice of Organic Life

Square Foot Gardening – Mel Bartholomew

Blue Pastures – Mary Oliver

For the Time Being – Annie Dillard

As the list implies, chickens will be living in our tiny backyard this spring!  And that is something to look forward to, my friends!

  1. Thanks Katie, good catch! Eddy’s always got a confused look on his face when I use words whose meanings are not what I think they are 🙂
